The Frost Mage is particularly well equipped for the grinding experience ahead of you.
When levelling up as the Mage, there’s a few options for you to choose from. You can make the most of certain WoW TBC power levelling methods and earn WoW TBC gold too. That said, AoE levelling has become something that is more popular than ever before.
It gives Mages the opportunity to get through the levelling process fast, though it does need to follow a strict set of talents and other components.
Starting Out With Frost Mage AoE Levelling
Those looking to start this levelling process early on will first need to reach level 22. At this point, you can then spec into Improved Blizzard to start your AoE levelling. As a Frost Mage, you will be amongst the best classes in the game in terms of being equipped with the right tools for levelling.
The best way to get through the grinding process is through mob grinding. This works especially well, if you’re on a server that isn’t very populated, and you’ve already started playing as a class that has good AoE damage.
It’s important that you are in lower populated servers, since you’ll need to use your AoE skills on the enemies there before someone else does.
How long this process actually takes depends on a number of different variables. How fast you can get through mob grinding will depend on you as a player.
The art of mob grinding isn’t always to considered the best way to level in terms of pace, but a well equip Frost Mage could find it to be the quickest of all.
The Talent Build
For The Burning Crusade power leveling grinds you’ll want to focus on a few talents in particular. Primarily, you’re going to need to get Arcane Concentration.
This will help you to increase your mana, and you can put more points into it if you have any left over. This is an essential talent in the heat of battle if you’ve used up all your mana gems and your other options are on a cool down, this can get you out of a sticky situation.
Another great talent to have is an Ice Floes. This is a talent that a lot of players who are levelling the Frost Mage actually miss out on. It has a lot of balance to it, as it aids both attack and defence.
If you’re new to the Mage class, then this is a good choice to go with. When experiencing populated groups, try the Magic Absorption to get you through, although it isn’t really a requirement in the early stages of the process.
The Grinding Rotation
It’s important for you to set up your build correctly to make the most of grinding. When looking to pull heavy groups of enemies, being prepared is key. With that in mind, it will be not only TBC Classic items that help, but the likes of Arcane Intellect, Ice Armor and Ice Barrier will be essential buffs to start off with. Body Pull will allow you to pull these enemy groups, and you can keep them in place with Frost Nova.
At this point, you’ll be able to create a bit of separation between yourself and these enemies that are rooted with Blink, then damage them with Blizzard. Go over this process as many times as you need to until your enemies have been slain.
When you feel like you are ready, you can then move onto Icy Veins and Cone of Cold. Those who find themselves in dire straits can use Summon Water Elemental to add range to your Frost Nova, or Cold Snap to add another Ice Block if you have it.
Grinding mobs isn’t exactly the most glamorous way in which you can level up. That being said, you can use it to switch out from questing all the time for a change of pace.
The priority for some might be to make as much TBC Classic gold as possible, but the Frost Mage is an effective way to prepare you for the levelling that lies ahead. The fact that when you get to level 70 your experience turns into gold should be more than enough to motivate you to go after the Frost Mage build.
There is other ways to skip your way passed the grind of levelling in WoW TBC. Some aid their experience by choosing to buy TBC gold.
This will get you the currency that you need to get to where you need to be. Other players have chosen to buy WoW TBC accounts outright from third party sources. Just be aware of the potential risks to your account if you do choose to go with one of these options.
