Using HappyMod

HappyMod is pretty simple to use. When you open it, you will see it is very much like a normal app store; all you do is pick an app category, find a game, or an app to download and tap on it.

You will also see a window where you will find all the latest additions to the app store. Every mod in HappyMod comes from the internet and, if you have any mods on your own computer, you can upload them to the store, as well as requesting specific modified apps or games.

App Features:

HappyMod is packed with features:

  • Modded Games – modified versions of thousands of games
  • Safe, Fast Downloads –each mod is virus-scanned before it goes into the app store and downloads are lightning-fast
  • Multiple Language Support – the app store supports multiple languages, including English, Italian, Thai, simplified and traditional Chinese and many others
  • Pause/Resume –downloads can be stopped and started whenever you want

HappyMod Errors and Solutions

HappyMod is a pretty stable app store, but there are two common problems that have been reported:

Problem Parsing the Package

An APK parser must read code, and part of that is a string containing characters, symbols, and/or digits. If this is not written properly, the parser cannot read it and will throw an error. Other reasons for the error include an incomplete download, corrupted file, incompatibility with your Android device, and so on and there are a few methods you can try to resolve it:

Method 1: Check Manifested HappyMod App APK File:

If you customized the app by removing the ads, or doing something else, you would have modified this file, and you may even have renamed it:

  1. Find and open the HappyMod APK file on your Android device
  2. Find and open a file named andriomanifest.xml
  3. Set it back to default – the issue should be gone now

Method 2: USB Debugging

  1. Launch your Settings app and tap on About Device
  2. Tap on Build Number seven consecutive times; you should get a message telling you that “You are now a developer.”
  3. Go back to Settings and tap Developer Options
  4. Enable the USB Debugging option – HappyMod should install now

Method 3: File Corruption

The APK file may have been corrupted, and the only way to resolve this is to delete HappyMod and reinstall it, ensuring you use only the official file

App Not Installed

This one also may happen for a number of reasons, and there are four methods to choose from for resolving it:

Method 1: Clear Package Installer Cache and Data

  1. Open Settings>Apps
  2. Go to System and tap on Package Installer
  3. Tap on, in turn, Clear Data and Clear Cache*

* These options are in Storage on Android 6.0 Marshmallow

Method 2: Enable Unknown Sources

  1. Open your Settings app and tap on Security
  2. Enable Unknown Sources by tapping the slider
  3. If HappyMod still isn’t working, delete it. Keep Unknown Sources enabled and reinstall the app store

Method 3: Rooted Devices Only

  1. Using your browser, download a reliable root explorer app
  2. Launch the app on your device and copy the APK
  3. Go to System>Apps and ensure the root explorer app permissions have been enabled
  4. HappyMod should work now

Method 4: Clear Space and Set Path

You may be struggling to install HappyMod because you don’t have enough space on your device. In the first instance, delete unused apps, files, and move your media files onto a separate storage device or to the cloud. Try not to install the app store on your SD card as the package installer may struggle to read it. If you do need to do this, make sure you have mounted the card properly.

HappyMod is a unique app store for Android users, well worth a look as it contains thousands of modified files, all completely free to download and use. Try it and tell the developers what you think of it.
